President's Volunteer Service Award



JADE, as an eligible organization to issue the President's Volunteer Service Award, is dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the exceptional contributions of individuals committed to volunteerism and community service. By awarding the President's Volunteer Service Award, JADE honors individuals across all age groups who have demonstrated a profound impact through their dedication, serving their communities with compassion and commitment. The President's Volunteer Service Award not only acknowledges the selfless hours contributed but also serves to inspire continued volunteer efforts that strengthen communities nationwide. Through this prestigious award, JADE promotes a culture of service, motivating individuals to engage in activities that benefit society and support those in need.

Eligibility Criteria for the President’s Volunteer Service Award through JADE:

  • Applicants must demonstrate dedication to JADE’s mission and broader community impact.
  • Applicants must contribute at least 25% of their volunteer hours to volunteering directly with JADE to support its goals and initiatives.
  • Applicants must spend 50% of their volunteer hours on activities aligned with JADE’s mission, such as immigrant support, community engagement, cultural promotion or other service activities aligned with JADE's mission.

Purpose:

  • This blended approach ensures award recipients are committed to JADE while fostering a positive, inclusive and culturally enriched society.

General Process:

  • Maintain a record of your service hours from September 1 through August 31 of the award year.
  • Submit your hours electronically to info@jadeusa.org prior to the deadline in early September. Based on your age and hours, there are four awards offered.
       Age Group Bronze Silver Gold
                               Kids(ages 5-10) 26-49 hours 50-74 hours 75+ hours
                               Teens(ages 11-15) 50-74 hours 75-99 hours 100+ hours
                               Young Adults(ages 16-25) 100-174 hours 175-249 hours 250+ hours
